A public service announcement from your neighbourhood scanlator ^^

Back up your files right now!!! Preferably at least once a week. My laptop’s started to go crazy again… Multiple random freezes and a BSOD. All this happening after I just replaced a failed hard disk less than a month ago… My laptop isn’t even a year old yet, sigh.

The random freezing and forced reboots have appeared to have stopped now but this means that I wasn’t able to work on the scanlating at all today. On the bright side, I got some reading time and I finished the sequel, Imager’s Challenge. Not sure if I’ll be able to wait for the paperback edition of the next installment, I’ll probably end up getting the hardcover sometime soon.

Anyway, what this means is a slightly delayed release possibly around Wednesday or maybe Tuesday night if nothing goes wrong.

Aku no Hana Chapter 2

So I was up late finishing the novel Imager (which is awesome and you all should read) when it’s reached the point in time where it’s too late/early to go to bed and I just decided to finish up chapter 2 for shits and giggles.

Chapter 2 is titled L’Invitation au voyage and it’s one of Baudelaire’s poems in Les fleurs du Mals. Henri Duparc also composed a melody meant to go with the poem and it’s supposed to be one of the masterpieces of the genre. Wiki and google are your friends if you wish to find out more.

I don’t think he’s named any of the other chapters after Baudelair’s works but I’m not sure. But, let’s be honest, none of us are reading this manga for Baudelair anyhow… lol. Anyway, shit gets crazier next chapter and hopefully I’ll be able to get it done sometime next week.

Anyway, I’m halfway done on the next chapter and it should be done this weekend or Monday. Thanks for the nice words. ^^
